Senior Software Engineer - (Reference # DEV-SrSftwrEng#0015)
Location - Charlotte, NC
Work Schedule - 40 hours per week/8a.m.-5p.m./M-F
- Design and lead the development of programming systems for the food service industry, for applications in point-of-sale, forecasting, sales processing and discount/price reduction state machines, production planning, scheduling, production control and supply chain operations
- Utilize knowledge of Demand Planning and Queue Management applications
- Responsible for conducting system analysis and development, assessing and repairing legacy code, analyzing, designing and coordinating development of software programs for foodservice applications
- Analyze system requirements and divide them into tasks for progressive implementation
- Analyze and optimize the performance of programs
- Establish proof tests for programs to assure quality production and efficiency
- Maintain source code using Source Code Configuration Management tools and related skills for managing, merging various code branches and implementation of hot fixes
- Develop plans outlining steps, costs and timetable for development of features
- Lead the discussion of software design concepts and proposals in group meetings and collaborate to create solutions with other team members
- Liaise with groups of users, system engineers and outside consultants regarding applications
- Provide technical assistance to program users
- Evaluate software architectures, help define IT best practices, conduct feasibility evaluations, develop and analyze quality of service requirements
- Write prototypes to prove a technology or pattern
- Review design and code deliverables to ensure that they conform to the system architecture

PREREQUISITES:
Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, plus two years of experience in the job offered or as a software engineer, developer or consultant for the food service industry, plus demonstrated experience with Rational Rose and Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Project; Synergy and AccuRev; C/C++ and C# development; and knowledge of frameworks including MFC, COM, ADO, DAO.
